Spotlight On: Our Graphics Team

To say that the Goldray Graphics Team is the heart of our company is an understatement, as they are the creative minds behind making our customer’s design vision a reality on glass. Responsible for overseeing every graphic sample we produce, their advanced knowledge of decorative glass, imagery, and graphics allows us to transform a rendering, photo, or even a simple idea into a realistic process that can be applied to glass, ensuring that the desired result is achieved.

As a member of the Goldray family for close to two decades, Barbara uses her extensive knowledge and experience with decorative glass to lead the graphics team and ensure that the sample creation process runs smoothly. When our customers require a glass sample to meet their project design goals, Barbara’s expertise is invaluable, as she selects the correct decorative glass makeup and manufacturing process required to make the design a reality. In her daily role, Barbara is extremely hands-on and enjoys working alongside her team and Goldray’s production, sales, and marketing team to discuss industry trends and bring new and innovative products to market.

Celebrating nine years with Goldray this September, is Aaron, our Senior Graphic Designer. He describes his position as, “a playground for adults. I have the freedom to create designs from scratch, or modify a client’s idea into something that works well when applied to glass.” Using a plethora of tools, including; Adobe Suite, Corel Suite, AutoCAD, and his own imagination, Aaron controls both the technical and creative aspects of each design. Outside of work, Aaron is an amateur photographer, who enjoys spending time with his family. Traveling tops his bucket list, as he would love to one day explore the far reaches of South America and Europe.

Rounding out this fantastic team is Shane who, in just three years, has contributed designs for hundreds of samples and projects. His favorite project thus far is the Moorehead Elementary School in North Dakota, as Shane transferred student’s artwork onto clear technographic film, which was then laminated between glass. This created a unique wall cladding surface and preserved the student’s work for years to come. When asked what tool is most important in his job, Shane responded simply with “teamwork”, a profound statement and a nod to Goldray’s culture.

Together, the Graphics Team functions as a cohesive group, sharing the responsibilities and triumphs of each challenge that comes their way. It is their teamwork that really embodies Goldray’s strength: taking our customer’s creative vision and using our innovation and state of the art tools, to make it a reality.
